The second edition of the Trail & Walk des Fantômes Think Pink Edition will take place on Friday 11 August 2023. Like the previous editions of the Trail des Fantômes, it offers a challenging race course through the beautiful nature of La Roche-en-Ardenne. On this edition you'll walk or trail 15km along the Ourthe, true the forests and you'll have amazing views among the valley !

Registration is only possible online via SQM Time and according to the price table below. It is therefore useful to register early! People who register before August,03 will receive a personal bib number with their first and last name.

GROUP/COMPANY REGISTRATION

Would you like your company to participate in this event? You can! You can create a group via the online registration module. The group leader is responsible for paying for the entire group. You pay the normal rate per participant.
Once the group is created, you can add or invite people yourself. The group must be closed and paid for no later than 3 weeks before the event. After this date, no cancellation is possible. Request access to the group registration module here. Attention: only for companies with min. 10 participants!

You are LESS THAN 10 participants and/or you are NOT a COMPANY and you want to register together? It is possible, you can register an unlimited number of people at the same time in one order.

During the Trail des Fantômes, you can camp on the private property of Le Hérou Estate at 50m of the start and finish! Incl. access to showers and toilets. (€10,00 per person/per night) Free under 12years. (only for camping tents). Add up all nights of all persons and enter this total. The camping is open from thursday to sunday.

    DISTANCE AND ALTIMETERS

    The distance and elevation gain are given as a guide. The final mileage may be slightly higher or lower on your connected watch or running app.
    We use different sites for our GPX routes.
    Below are the estimated mileage and elevation gain from three sites we use.
    We always use the Trail Track elevation, which is generally the closest to reality.

  • Pick up bib number and T-shirt

    Race numbers will not be sent by post. They can be collected at the race office. 

    If you register more than one participant, the account holder can also collect these numbers.

    Other extras ordered (e.g. T-shirt, Scarff® or folding cup) can be collected on site. 

    Any changes can be made on your personal account until the day before the event. Fast, easy and without queuing! 

    Last minute distance changes can be made at the race secretariat. It is possible to collect other people's race numbers.

  • Change name, distance and / or cancel

    Changing your distance, buying a T-shirt, adapting your data and even canceling it can ONLY be done through your SQM Time account. So you do this all by yourself!

    After you have logged in, search for the relevant order and change the details. If your new data results in a lower cost price, your account will be credited and you can use that amount for another registration. If your new information leads to a higher registration price, you still have to pay that amount to complete the change.

    If you wish to cancel, your account will be credited in accordance with our cancellation conditions. You can then spend this amount on another registration later.

    Attention: Please check the conditions of the organizer to find out until when  you can cancel and how much your account will be credited !

  • Showers - Dressing rooms - Bags drop-off

    There are no showers.

    Changing rooms are not provided. 

    As the parking spaces are within walking distance, no "bags drop-offs" are provided.

  • Insurance physical accidents

    By default you are NOT insured through the organization for physical injuries during the race. You can choose to take an insurance through the organizer when you register. This is an additional paying option.

    The organization supports the charity THINK PINK, the national breast cancer campaign. With your registration you can make a donation.

  • Photoservice

    A selection of photos can be found a few days after the event on our Facebook page. This can be viewed by anyone, including those who do NOT have a Facebook account.

    During the event, the Sportograf team will be present to take the most beautiful photos of you in action. You can find your personal photos via the link below or by clicking on the icon behind your name in the results list.

Race information


  • Start procedure

    There is a mass start under the starting arch for each distance. 

    To prevent congestion on the course, you will start in small batches via a narrow starting lane ("rolling start").
    Your time starts at the starthour in the race program..





    If you decide to participate in another distance, you must inform the race secretary before starting.

  • Cut-off times

    Check the time limits in the tab "Course" or  "Program".

  • Time registration / Live coverage


    There are 1 or 2 timing chip(s) on the back of your bib number. Do not fold the chip(s) and make sure you wear your bib number above your clothes on your stomach or chest. The chips ensure that your (split) times are registered when you pass a checkpoint.

    Control points are scattered throughout the course, usually at the supply point. Some checkpoints beep as you pass through them, but not all. Don't panic so if you don't hear anything, you will be registered anyway.

    All intermediate times and end times of all participants can be followed live online on the SQM Time website. On the day of the event, the result can be followed live via www.sqmtime.com/live . Via this live coverage, supporters can follow the progress of their favorite runners on the spot via their smartphone. The fans at home can of course also follow everything closely.


    There are even participants who like to see during the race how much position they are in and how much time their buddy is ahead or behind!

  • Aid stations / No plastic cups

    AID STATIONS

    You will find several refreshment points/aid stations on the course with food and drink. Their exact locations can be found on the course map of Trace de Trail (see the tab "Course"). You will find water, salty snacks, cakes, soup,...Attention: we do not use plastic cups at the refreshment posts, so you have to bring your own cup/container.

    NO PLASTIC CUPS!

    Because we respect the environment we do not provide disposable plastic cups. So you have to bring a drinking cup or bottle yourself. This applies to the aid stations along the way as well as at the finish. We have handy eco-cups, which are reusable drinking cups that you can fold, to be purchased with your online registration and/or to be purchased at the race office for 3 euros.

      F.A.Q. 's


      • Are dogs and/or poles allowed?

        Dogs are allowed if they stay on their leash and behave properly. Remember to also provide a drinking bowl for your dog. Unfortunately dogs are not allowed during this event.

        Poles are allowed.

      • Due to circumstances I cannot participate. What should I do?

        It is not possible to cancel for this event.
        If you are unable to participate, you can "modify" your registration in your account and pass it on to someone.

      • Participate for free by inviting your friends!

        Sports is so much more fun if you can do it together with your friends and family. Invite them now and get rewarded. Click on the blue button next to the registration button "free signup" en send your personal link to all your friends. If somebody registers by clicking on this link, you get credits with a value of 5% of that registration into your account. These credits can be used for your next registration in the SQM Time.


      • Join our crew!

      • Is it possible to run different distances?

        Sure.

        You can run different distances in one day or on different days but you need to register for each distance.
        Please make sure you don't start before 09h00 and return to the finish line at least at 18h00.

        You cannot run the same distance more than once.

        Note: The 42km is a unique loop. The 13km, 20km and 27km run on the same paths of he 42km and cut off respectively after 7,5km (13km) - after 10,5km (20km) - after 15km (27km). The last 5km are common.

      • How many people am I allowed to run with?

        Keeping the social distance is mandatory according to government guidelines. 

        You must respect the maximum number of persons imposed by the government.

      • When can I check out the racecourse and download the *.GPX?

        The *.GPX files will be released shortly before the event officially starts. The organization will provide the possibility to download them by e-mail only to the registered participants. 
         Until then, you can consult the profile of the course under the tab "course".


      • I bought a T-shirt. Will it be sent to my home adress?

        No.

        The purchased t-shirt can be picked up at the start and finish zone.
        Respect the social distance.

      • I bought a T-shirt, where can I enter my size?

        The size of your T-shirt can be found in your account. You have specified this yourself.

        Make sure to check this size so you get the right size on the day of the event.
